This set has a built-in thermostat that kicks on an internal heating element in freezing conditions to prevent frost from accumulating on the lens. LEDs are efficient at producing light, but they do not put out heat like a traditional bulb. In some conditions, frost may accumulate on the lens, blocking the light and making it more dangerous to drive in adverse conditions. These headlights solve the issue.

The LED unit is a dual function Hi/Lo Beam that produces 4,000 lumens of light power at a 6,000 Kelvin color temperature. It is rated for 22,000 operating hours at 25 watts with only a 2-amp draw.

The prismatic glass lens does not oxidize (become hazy or accumulate film) like plastic lenses. The prismatic glass lens provides superior photometric light distribution for safer driving. Metal vacuum metalized reflectors improve reflection and durability 4 to 1 compared to stock and provide ideal heat sink for the high power generating LED diodes or Xenon gas filled burners. The LED assembly is protected by a high-density silicone boot with venting to guard against contamination and moisture.
